Stephanie and Larissa: Thanks so much for having us, Ing – this is awesome!!!
Ing: So if we had ultimate fight club battle with the Demonica siblings vs. the Shadow Force guys vs. the Acro team who do you think would win? What, don’t look at me like that. You have to answer it…it’s a valid question! 🙂
Larissa: Hmm…depends on who’s fighting. I mean, Wraith is literally untouchable. Ultimately, I think everyone would fight it out — because hello, they’re all a bunch of testoneroned-up men, and then they’d settle down and see who can drink who under the table. Wraith, Ender, Stryker, Cameron would get along well…between the bouts of punching. The more laid-back guys would drink their beers and shake their heads.
Stephanie: My Shadow Force guys would be drinking the beers and looking for the women. ACRO men, well yeah, Ender would never walk away from a fight. And Remy might be able to do something weather-wise to Wraith to at least get a few good punches in there. Oh, but my Dire Wolves…now they’d put up a fight.
Ing: So if you had to pick one hero from each other’s books or from the Sydney Croft series that you’d like as a book boyfriend, who would you pick and why?
Larissa: I’ve always had a thing for Nick from Steph’s Too Hot To Hold. He can be such an ass, and who doesn’t love an ass for a book boyfriend? Sure, in real life, I’d kill him, but hey, we’re talking BOOKS here! In the Sydney Croft series, I’d have to go with Ender, because again…ass. (And he has a nice one!)
Stephanie: Oh, Larissa has always loved Nick! As for me, I’ve always had a soft spot for Shade. I think he can be forgotten sometimes as the middle brother since Wraith is so out there, but that’s okay, because Shade’s MINE. What? Oh, and Ender, because yeah, he’s an asshole alpha.
Ing: Who are your favorite/enduring/memorable couple from any books either by you or the other? Why is this the favorite/enduring/memorable couple?
Larissa: Ooh, tough one. I’ll stick with the Croft books, but even there, it’s tough, because there are several couples who really stick out for me. Ender and Kira, Faith and Wyatt…but I think maybe I’ll go with Annika and Creed, because their story spanned the entire series and we watched them go through so much and grow a lot.
Stephanie: Ender and Kira are definitely really special – I mean, writing the entire series together was amazing, but there was just something magical about that book. I know other authors hate to hear the whole, the book wrote itself (and I can understand why) but man, Unleashing DID. For that book, my favorite scene is after Ender comes back from running with the horses and finds Kira in the barn…there’s just something about the way it’s written that I can just picture it. It’s a tame scene, but it’s beautiful. For my own, Jake and Isabelle. I would still cry if I read certain scenes from that book.
Ing: So I love my sexing and you both have given me some memorable one. Two that come to mind is the vertical sexing between Ares and Cara and the waterfall scene with the icicles between Stryker and Melanie was HAWT! What has been a favorite bow-chicka-bow-wow moment from any books either by you or the other?
Larissa: Heh — I liked the scene in Seduced By The Storm where Faith and Wyatt were in his bedroom quarters, and she had to hold onto pipes while he…yeah. That one.
Stephanie: I still love the first Eidolon and Tayla sex scene in Pleasure Unbound when she first comes into the ER – I remember reading that way before it was published and being like, yeah, this is perfect! I also love the scenes between Trance and Rik, especially in the beginning at the BDSM club, because there’s so much more than sex going on there. For mine, Jake and Isabelle – the handcuff scene.
Ing: Do you all plan on collaborating again and giving us any more books as Sydney Croft or as some other pseudonym? Please say yes, please say yes! lol.
Larissa: I wouldn’t work with Stephanie again if the publisher paid me a million bucks! Oh, wait, yeah, I would. 🙂 Tell ’em Steph!
Stephanie: See what I put up with? Where is that million bucks? But yeah, of course – we love writing together. We’ve got a few projects we’re tossing back and forth. The thing with us is that we have to be writing together – as in, at the same time. It doesn’t work if I write stuff and then a few weeks later, she continues. So it’s finding that time together. In the old days, before we actually had books out, we had a lot more time. These days, it’s hard to find time to like, shower. Although, for the record, I shower more than Larissa.
Ing: Now most authors put a little of themselves in their heroine. Which heroine do you think that you are most similar to and in what way are you similar?
Larissa: Um…well, there are several I’d love to be like, but ultimately, I’m not a kick-ass, hard-nosed person. I’m not afraid to get physical and get dirty, but I’m a bit high-strung in the emotional department. I hate stress and conflict, so yeah, I’m not very similar to most of my heroines. I’d say I’m most similar to Cara and Kira (ooh, weird how their names are so similar — I hadn’t noticed that!) because of their affinity with animals. We all tend to like animals better than most humans, so I’ll go with them as my choices.
Stephanie: Hmmm, there are heroines in the books? No, seriously, I don’t know if there’s much of me in any of them. Well, maybe Izzy with the liking to be alone thing.
Ing: Who is a heroine that you’d like to be for one day from your book, the others book or the Sydney book that is so different from you. Why?
Larissa: Annika, Sin, or Limos. For just a day, I’d love to get some vigilante justice out on a few scumbags and just not give a crap about the repercussions!
Stephanie: Faith, because I’d love to have me some of those powers!
Ing: If you could have any of the special abilities that your ACRO agent has which would you pick and why?
Larissa: My answer always changes depending on my mood. Really, any of them would be nice, but I think it would be especially cool to be invisible like Gabe or be able to talk to ghosts like Creed.
Stephanie: I always say invisibility! I wouldn’t mind Kira’s animal whisperer abilities either.
Ing: What do we have to look forward from the both you in the next year or so. Any deets you give us?
Larissa: Well, in 2012 readers will have my third and fourth Horsemen books, and I’m also working on a project that I’m hoping to pitch to Samhain at the beginning of the year. It’ll be a paranormal with a very unconventional threesome. 🙂 After that, I’ll be working on Reaver’s book…and then…not sure!
Stephanie: I’m starting my Eternal Wolf Clan series in 2012 – in February you’ll get an eSpecial novella, Dire Warning, followed in March by Dire Needs, which is book 1 in the series. Dire Wants comes out in the fall and I’m hoping to get out the Reid / Grier Shadow Force book in 2012 as well. And then my new Romantic Suspense trilogy will start on the heels of that. So busy, but in a good way.
Ing: So ummmm here’s the most important question – do you think Kira would let me have Ender for just one day? What, it’s a very important and valid question.
Larissa: I’ll let you ask her. I’ll make popcorn.
Stephanie: Who is this Kira of whom you speak? Ender’s MINE! (at this point I think Steph and I will need to rumble over Ender)
Ing: Ok here is a quick silly questions:
Ing: One word that comes to mind for Larissa?
Ing: One word that comes to mind for Stephanie?
Ing: Favorite holiday?
Larissa: Christmas, hands-down
Stephanie: Thanksgiving – OMG – the FOOD!
Ing: Batman vs. Superman, who would win?
Larissa: Superman. Batman is nothing without his weapons belt
Stephanie: Batman. Because he can cover himself in kryptonite.
Ing: What are 3 things you can’t live without?
Larissa: Beer, books, & internet
Stephanie: You forgot me! What? Okay, yes, books, my notebook & pens.
Ing: Best thing about being a romance author?
Larissa: The readers!
Stephanie: Absolutely the readers.
Ing: Worst thing about being a romance author?
Larissa: No time to read, which is why I started writing in the first place
Stephanie: Best job in the world – I can’t say anything negative about it. I get to make shit up for a living at home in my pajamas. Am lucky!
Ing: First thing you notice about a man?
Larissa: Face. Eyes if they’re particularly striking.
Stephanie: Forearms. And back. I have a thing for good backs.
Ing: Thank you ladies for dropping by today! You are both awesome. I heart you both and heart your books like crazy! I hope you had a good time. Is there anything you would like to ask the readers of my blog?
Larissa: Thanks so much for having us, Ing!!! You rock! I don’t have any specific questions for the readers, but I’d like to say thanks for stopping by, and happy holidays!!!
Stephanie: Ing, this was great! I’d like to just thank you and all the readers for all the support you’ve shown us – if not for you, I wouldn’t be able to stay home and make shit up in my pjs!
