Happy Monday morning folks!  Today is the start of the Rough Rider series event. It’s going to be a four day long event of nothing but love for this awesome series set in Wyoming about the larger than life ranching family, the McKay’s. If you haven’t read this wonderful series written by Lorelei James about this very endearing family than sit back and get to know the McKay family.  I guarantee you will fall in love with them just as much as I have and the fellow fans that will be joining me in telling you why you should freaking love this series too.

You’ll have plenty of chances to win books from this series.  Check out the DETAILS and see what you can win each day.  Now for today I have DiDi from Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews taking over the blog. She has a giveaway of Cowboy Casanova going on at her place.  This is the 14th book in the series and it releases tomorrow.  So be sure to drop on by and check out her blog!  Now DiDi is going to tell you why she LURVVVs this series!  I’m going to include some hottie cowboys just to keep you all entertained as you read this wonderful post!  Take it away DiDi.

Why I LURVVV the Rough Rider series (and anything else Lorelei James writes)! By DiDi

It’s hard to believe I read my first Rough Rider book only a year ago, but as soon as I finished it I looked up the rest and devoured them within a week. I am totally addicted.

The Rough Riders series is HOT! The books are steamy, erotic and have excellent story lines to go along with the hot sex.

Lorelei James puts “real” feelings and emotions in every character. She creates characters who are not perfect, who live normal everyday lives and have the same kinds of problems and issues we all do.

COWGIRL UP and RIDE is my top of the top favorite book of ALL TIME, not just of Lorelei’s. BRANDED AS TROUBLE is at the top of my list favorite list, my dad had to go into rehab/detox for alcohol and I can say he went through a lot of the feelings and fears that Lorelei put in BAT, the AA meetings on a daily basis being so crucial the first year, India’s emotions when she was about to relapse. Then there is RAISING KANE and RODE HARD and PUT UP WET, the feelings that Ginger and Gemma both go through about their bodies and getting back into relationships. SHOULDA BEEN A COWBOY deals with a Military Veteran coming home and feeling like he is unworthy of love because he isn’t a “WHOLE” man. CHASIN’ EIGHT deals with a MAN having body image issues, as well as where exactly he fits in his family and how that all impacts his outlook on relationships. Her newest release. COWBOY CASANOVA deals with the very real emotional fall out of being the child in a family who feels like they never fit in. EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. is filled with true to life emotions and situations, not to mention smokin’ hot smexin’.

I have found something besides the incredible sex scenes (which I love) in every LJ book that makes me think or that I can relate too, I love it! LJ’s descriptions are so good that I can see each character and even imagine what their voices sound like as I am reading…ok hopefully I am not sounding a little crazy to you all, that is just how good the RR series is. And after visiting WY and going to the Cheyenne Rodeo this summer, I can GUAR-AN-TEE that her vivid descriptions are accurate.

Then there are the incredible dynamics between the McKay families…the oldest,  the middle, the dreamer, the troubled one. All families have similar issues between siblings, and they all have to be worked out. I don’t know one family that has multiple children who have always gotten along. Families fight and they have to figure out how to make up, because when it comes down to it, Families are the most important thing in our lives. I am so into RR that I find myself trying to envision, Gib, Elizah, Kyler and all the rest of the McKay grandkids as adults and in my mind they are going to be even more of a handful than their parents. Eliza seems like she is going to be Keely times 10000.

If you like connected stories, emotional stories, family stories, HOT stories, stories that will make you LOL and/or COWBOYS….RUN…don’t mosey to your favorite bookseller to purchase the Rough Rider series…and once you have devoured them…Buy Lorelei’s Black Top Cowboy series….Saddled and Spurred (BTC #2) is up there with COWGIRL UP and RIDE as my top of the top book of ALL TIME.

The best way to describe how I feel EVERY TIME I start a Rough Rider book, be it a new release or an old favorite, is like I am coming HOME. I feel like I am a part of this amazing town and amazing family……

Thank you for allowing me to participate in your COWBOY CASANOVA event!
