I ring the doorbell and fidget nervously waiting for someone to answer. I’m at the home of Abel and Nellie, and I am a nervous wreck. I know how private these two are so I’m hoping the QA goes smoothly. I straighten my stance as the locks on the door click and the door slowly opens to reveal Abel. Oh dear lord in heaven, he is even more beautiful in person. I realize my mouth is hanging open and I’d been staring at him for awhile when Abel clears his throat and crosses his arms across his hot chest. I snap out of my lust fog and introduce myself. Abel doesn’t look happy to hear my name and an annoyed look crosses his face but thankfully he invites me in and I follow him. I look around as I’m walking. The house is beautiful. Nellie is waiting for us in the living room. I introduce myself to her and she gives me a warm and friendly smile. We sit down and I clear my throat……”Thank you so much for allowing me in your home today to talk to the both of you. I’m hoping to make this as painless as possible,” I say. I look up and Nellie smiles and Abel just nods his head. “Alrighty then let’s get started.”
Ing: Well first of all congrats to you both! With all that has been happening have you all had a chance to read your story? If you have read your book what did you all think of it?Were you all nervous about any parts of it?
Abel: *Glances at Nellie before answering* I’d say if I knew then what I knew now things would’ve definitely played out differently but that’s just the thing about life. You never know until it’s all said and done.
Nellie: I was for sure nervous about reading some of the stuff I would have rather not revisited. And like Abel, *sigh* If I knew then what I know now but then… how could I? Right?
Ing: Clears throat and starts blushing….so ummm your story was full of lots of smexy scenes. I think it’s had the most of those scenes out of all the 5th Street books. How did you all feel about all that being out there? Have your family read this book or the guys read this? Or your mom, Abel? What did they have to say.
Abel: *For once, since I arrived the hardened expression softens and he indulges us with a sexy grin* The guys aren’t much for reading, especially not romance but the girls have and as far as I can tell because they all seem to lower their voices or change the subject when I walk in the room. Seems to me they’ve enjoyed it. If my mom’s read it, she hasn’t mentioned and I ain’t asking.
Nellie: *blushes* Well I’d shared most of the details with Roni already. Though she wasn’t happy about some of the things I kept her in the dark about. Moments she wishes now she could’ve been there for me…*Abel and Nellie exchange remorseful glances* And none of us are immune to the smexy scenes. In our stories so talking to the other girls about it has been much of a gigglefest. But *she turns and winces at Abel* his mom has read and she has discussed with me. (Abel’s face literally pales and Nellie laughs) It’s not that big a deal. We’re all adults right? But I will admit there are some things a girl doesn’t like sharing and speaking openly with her man’s mom ya know?
Ing: What’s been the best thing so far now that the dust has settled?
Abel: *Shakes head squeezing Nellie’s hand* I’m just glad things worked out the way they did when they did. In hindsight I can’t even believe I held out as long as I did.
Nellie: Me either! Like I said earlier if we’d had known then what we know now it would’ve made life so much easier.
*Somewhere in the distance we hear a muffled evil laugh and we all stop and look around. It’s not until we hear that muffled snort that both Abel and Nellie immediately know who it is.*
Abel: *rolls his eyes but can help grin* That must Lady Reyes herself. She might enjoy teasing her readers but her readers ain’t got nothing on what she likes doing to us.
Nellie: Amen to that! *laughs*
Ing: What have been at least 3 funny or cute things that you guys have learned about each other?
Abel: *smiles playing with Nellie’s fingers* I don’t know about cute but I think it’s hilarious as hell. She’s afraid of cats. Like terrified. I thought she was kidding but this cat came into Noah’s backyard one time when we were down there and she literally jumped on my back and clung on for dear life screaming the whole time! You’d think it was a tiger or something. It was just a cat! *laughs*
Nellie: I had this thing happen… when I was a kid okay? *turns back to Ing* He can’t cook to save his life.
Abel: *laughs even more* That’s not true!
Nellie: Oh my God! *leans over and whispers* In his defense his mom is to blame. She won’t let her boys so much as heat a tortilla for themselves.
Abel: She can’t sing *Abel interrupts” … like at all. But it’s adorable to watch her try.
Nellie: *turns to glare at him playfully* You said you liked my singing!
Abel: *laughs kissing her hand* I just said it’s adorable and we were in the shower, babe. I love anything you do in there… but you still can’t sing.
*Nellie Begins to pout but before she can Abel leans in quickly and kisses her* I still love watching you try. So sing for me anytime. *whispers something in her ear making her giggle*
Now I’m (Ing) pouting. No fair! I wanna know what he’s saying but the man is huge and so intense even when he’s being playful. This is obviously private and if it’s one thing I’ve learned about him is you don’t mess with his privacy so I dare not ask! Plus I’m just sitting here watching them be so adorable. Love it.
Nellie taps him on the knee and looks up at me. I lost count if that was three but won’t stir the waters because we still have a lot more and another thing I know about Abel is his patience when it comes to interviews is about as short as his fuse so moving on.
Ing: Do you guys have a favorite place you like to hang out at in the house? Who does the cooking?
Abel: Well I think it’s been established I don’t do the cooking. And as for the favorite place. *evil grin* We make great use of every part of this house.
Nellie: *blushing again but smiles* Um..what he said.
Ing: I get a little nervous. This next question might not go so well. I clear my throat. So ummm…have you all heard from Logan or him again? Instantly I feel the playfulness sucked right out of the room and I gulp.
Abel: *Any signs of playfulness gone and he clenches his jaw.* Not since I got that last call. I think I made it pretty clear what might happen if he came around or even called again.
Me and Nellie exchange nervous glances and I’m already regretting having asked.
Nellie: I haven’t heard from either.
Good enough moving on!
Ing: Abel do you have any more fights coming up?
Abel: I’m taking a break from all that right now and helping my bud Felix train instead. I don’t need all that publicity in my life right now. I like the way things are but I may in the future.
Ing: Ok now I’m going to do a quick lightening round of questions
Favorite body parts of each other?
Abel: Hmm hard to choose but I’d have to say her face. *turns and smiles at Nellie* She’s beautiful.
Nellie: *smiles biting her lower lip.* Thank you. Hard for me to say too. But if I have to choose. His I’d say his chest and arms and shoulders… sorry *she laughs* I just can’t choose.
Most romantic thing you’ve done for each other?
Abel: I’d say what she’s done for me is booked a trip to Frisco and surprised me. We went right back to the exact same hotel, and redid everything we did that first time. It was even better the second time around because this time there were no doubts.
Nellie: There’s not just one thing he does. He does a lot like leave sweet notes all over the house. Sweet texts out of nowhere and I’ll never tire of him calling me beautiful.
I catch myself sighing with her then clear my throat and straighten out.
One word to describe your relationship
Nellie: he took my word so I’ll say exciting.
What car would you say each other are and why?
Abel: I’d say she’s what she drives an SUV she has a million things going on all the time but handles them all with ease.
Nellie: He’ s definitely what he drives a—muscle car.
Song that best describes your feelings for each other.
Nellie: * grins sinfully at Abel* I’m sure it’ll change a lot because we both have such eclectic tastes in music but just the other day we were in the car and this song came on that I started to sing to him *she leans in nudging him playfully* since this is something he’s been so adamant about since things became official, but it absolutely goes both ways, we both agreed it was our song.
I wait anxiously for the name of the song.
Abel: *Thinks about it for a moment as Nellie peers at him a bit peeved.*
Uh oh. Did he forget already?
Abel: *Huge smile* Of course I remember because it’s spot on. I’m Yours. I even know who sings it, Jason Mraz
Ing: Thank you so much to the both of you for letting me invade your home and answering my questions. I wish you all the best of luck. Before I go, do either of you have any last words or anything you’d like to say to the fans.
Abel: Thanks for reading and if you liked the story pass it along. Me and Nellie are trying to beat all the other 5th Street books.
Nellie: We are not! *laughs* Elizabeth shared with us all the wonderful feedback she’s been getting about our story and I’d just like to thank everyone for reading and for all the love.
