Title: To Professor, with Love (Forbidden Men, #2)
Author: Linda Kage
Genre: New Adult, Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 26, 2014
Junior in college. Star athlete. Constant attention from the opposite sex.
On this campus, I’m worshiped. While seven hundred miles away, back in my hometown, I’m still trailer park trash, child of the town tramp, and older sibling to three kids who are counting on me to keep my shit together so I can take them away from the same crappy life I grew up in.
These two opposing sides of myself never mix until one person gets a glimpse of the true me. I never expected to connect with anyone like this or want more beyond one night. This may be the real deal.
Problem is, Dr. Kavanagh’s my literature professor.
If I start anything with a teacher and we’re caught together, I might as well kiss my entire future goodbye, as well as my family’s, and especially Dr. Kavanagh’s. Except sometimes love is worth risking everything. Or at least, it damn well better be because I can only resist so much.

Aspen Kavanaugh finds herself in a predicament the first year of her teaching career at Ellamore University. She finds herself very much aware and attracted to one of her students. Not only is Noel Gamble off limits and forbidden but he’s the star quarterback for the college. Quarterbacks, and especially star ones are ones that Aspen avoids since a tragic event occurred in her younger years involving a star quarterback. As much as Aspen attempts to avoid Noel she is suddenly thrust into the forefront of Noel after she has been advised to make sure Noel passes her class. Aspen goes into this expecting little from Noel and judging him harshly but discovers that there is more to Noel. He is someone who is so much more then she thought.
Noel Gamble finds himself unwittingly attracted to his professor. His professor who looks about his age but who dresses frumpy and seems to have it out for him and any football players in general. Noel has worked his ass off trying to impress Dr. Kavanaugh but he keeps getting nothing but failing grades. Noel has loved ones who depend on him and he needs to pass this class in order to keep his scholarship and continue playing ball. He hopes to one day go into the draft and be able to support his siblings. So his unwitting attraction to the professor is something he does not need at all. But yet he can’t stay away once he gets a glimpse of the real Aspen.
I absolutely enjoyed the heck out of this book. It hit all the right notes in my reading checklist. Perfect balance of steamy scenes, wonderful character development, a bit of angst, dialogue and swoony moments.
It took me awhile to warm up to Aspen at first. She came off really judgmental of Noel. But once the readers find out a bit about her childhood and the horrible incident in her past my feelings for Aspen did a 180. I thought that her character came off adorably cute. I loved watching her discover herself and gain confidence through her interactions with Noel. He definitely brought out the best in Aspen. Her past with her parent and how they just brushed off a certain incident really broke my heart for her. In the end I ended up loving Aspen’s character very much.
Noel was my favorite part of this book. I loved how he loved his siblings. I loved his dedication to them and all the things he was doing to try and save his family. The best part was how much he believed in Aspen and how much he was 100% in their relationship once they started it. He was the rock in this relationship. And Noel Gamble is HOT. That man was just oozing with sex appeal. Yum.
There was a wonderful amount of hot and sweet smex scenes in this book. That closet scene whew and then the more gentle and quiet scenes were just so romantic. I loved Aspen and Noel together. The chemistry and connection was all there for me. I was very much invested in these two and I was definitely rooting for their HEA. Aspen is older then Noel but not by much at all. The fact that their age was pretty close and Noel is in college didn’t make this story as forbidden for me as other student/teacher romances I’ve read. I still enjoyed it regardless since the characters themselves still drew me in. There are some memorable secondary characters that I enjoyed. I can’t wait for Ten and Quinn’s story. To Professor, with Love is the second book in the series but reads well on it’s own. I had not read book 1 yet but was able to follow this story line without any confusion.
I absolutely recommend this book for readers looking for a bit of forbidden, with steam thrown in, lovable characters and great writing.

I don’t care what my cousin says; I am not the queen of impossible relationships. I mean, just because my last boyfriend tried to kill me and left a bit of a scar on my neck, then forced me to move across the country and legally change my name to Reese Randall to escape him, does not mean—
Oh, who am I kidding? For a freshman in college, I have to have the worst dating track record ever.
It’s no wonder love is the last thing on my mind when Mason Lowe enters my life. But the chemistry between us is like bam! Our connection defies logic. And he’s just so freaking hot. Being around him makes me feel more alive than I’ve ever felt before. I even like bickering with him. He could be my soul mate…except for one teeny tiny glitch.
He’s a gigolo.
Boy, do I know how to pick them.
