Author: Linda Kage
Genre: NA | Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 30, 2015
Tour Hosted by: Tasty Book Tours

Let your hair down, Caroline, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.

I know I’ve closed myself off in a major way in the past year, ever since “the incident” where I messed up my life completely. It’s past time I try to live again or just give up completely. But this is quite possibly the craziest thing I’ve ever done. In a last ditch effort to invigorate myself, I’m standing outside Oren Tenning’s bedroom, I just peeled off the sexiest pair of underwear I own, and my hand is already raised to knock. My brother would disown me for doing anything with his best friend, and he’d probably kill Oren. But if I play my cards right, no one will ever know about this. Not even Ten.

Maybe after tonight, I’ll finally get over this stupid, irrational crush I hate having on the biggest jerk I’ve ever met. Or maybe I’ll just end up falling for him even harder. Maybe I’ll discover there’s so much more to my crude, carefree hunk than meets the eye.

Character Q&A with Caroline Gamble ✿

(Interview is conducted by author Linda Kage)

LK: Hi, all! We’re here today with Caroline Gamble…if she’ll ever show up—

CG: I’m here! I’m here! (breathless as she dashes through the entrance and flops into a chair) Don’t start without me.

LK: Oh, Good. She’s here. So this is Caroline, the heroine in A Perfect Ten. Caroline, give us the juicy 411 on you, why don’t you?

CG: Okay. Mmm..mpph…Good pastries by the way. (mouth full) Thanks for bringing these. I was starving. Anyway, Linda, you pretty much summed my life up at the beginning of Chapter Five, so I’m just going to cut and paste that.

LK: Slacker.

CG: (grinning) I know, right. Anyway, here is what you wrote : “The second semester of my freshman year at ESU was drawing to a close in a month. A month. I would turn nineteen a week after the last day of class, I had a minimum-wage job cleaning an insurance office downtown after hours, and I’d just tricked the asshole of my dreams into having sex with me. Yeah, I was a complete mess.

LK: Did I write that. Yeah, I guess I did. Anyway, let’s move straight to the fun part. Tell us about this a—hole you tricked!

CG: Oren (sighs dreamily)

LK: Or Ten as most of us know him.

CG: Whatever. I’ll always call him Oren. He really is the a—hole of my dreams, too. I’ve never met someone so flawed, and yet so perfect for me. He’s the epitome of the male chauvinist pig. Every word to spew from his mouth is laced with all his crude, promiscuous thoughts. I want to hate everything about him with every fiber of my being, except he stirs each molecule in me into wanting to pounce and take him instead.

LK: Hey, you’re plagiarizing me again!!

CG: As if you care! You love me too much.

LK: Well, okay, maybe.

CG: And you certainly love my man. I mean, the way you write him, all naughty and bad boy except a total sweetheart under the surface with loyalty and selfless valor that makes your panties wet. Plus the way you back up his dirty talk with some sizzling sexy scenes…yeah, I know exactly how much you like my Oren.

LK: (not blushing at all) Hush! And stop taking over my interview. I’m the one asking questions here.

CG: (grins and flourishes out a hand) So ask.

LK: Damn it. I just lost my train of thought. Too busy thinking of West Virginia.

CG: Hey, quit thinking about my man’s—

LK: Okay, question! What was your favorite part of the story?

CG: (grinning slyly) Why, my debut performance of Midnight Visitor, of course!

LK: Yeah, I have to admit; that was pretty epic. So, what was your least favorite part?

CG: As if you have to ask…since you’re the one who made me bawl for CHAPTERS upon chapters after putting the love of my life in the hospital. Still pissed at you for that.

LK: But aren’t you at least happy how I made it all end?

CG: Well, yeah. Obviously. But still…that was brutal. It’s going to take me a while to get over that.

LK: But you’ll have your Oren to help you move on, so it’s all good!

CG: True.

LK: Okay, my brain has turned to mush. I can’t think of anything else to ask, though I’m sure there’s plenty more we could talk about, like West Vir—

CG: Seriously, leave my West Virginia alone. It’s MINE!

LK: Geesh, okay, fine. So that concludes this interview. Thank you, everyone, for stopping by for a little fun. And if you were confused at any point—

CG:: Like, maybe in West Virginia!

LK: (chuckling) Then reading The Perfect Ten will help you understand what the heck we just talked about!! It’s out and available now, ready to make you laugh and cry.

CG: And it will do both!

LK: I hope! Take care, and happy reading! We’re out!

Sigh…I love West Virginia too! Wanna know what the two hussies above were talking about then pick up A Perfect Ten! Believe me it’s worth it! 😉

★ A Perfect Ten ~ Excerpt ★

The entire notion was crazy. I would never in a million years actually go through such a thing.

An hour later, thousands of voices in my head shrieked. “For the love of God, Caroline. What’re you doing?”

“Shh,” I hissed at the annoying shits. “I’m doing this.”

I slipped inside the front door to Quinn, Oren, and Zoey’s apartment. If anyone caught me, I already had an excuse handy. I was here to see Zoey. To talk important girl stuff. Yeah. That sounded good. And I really would talk to her if I was caught…about the fact that I’d lost my ever-loving mind!

Pausing at the beginning of the hall, I took a moment to bolster my nerve. Oren’s bedroom was the first door on the right. Only ten feet away. Drawing in a deep breath, I started to step forward when an idea hit me. Scrambling, I reached under my skirt for the panties I’d raced home to change into, and I peeled them down my legs.

I know, I know. They were the nicest underwear I owned. Why was I taking them off before he could even see the goods? Well, probably because, if we stayed in the dark like we were supposed to, he’d never see them anyway. And tonight, I just wanted to be bold and promiscuous. If I was really going to do this, I was going to do it right.

Pantyless, I stopped in front of his door and lifted my palm, but instead of knocking, I set my fingers against the wood. He was on the other side of this door, waiting for me.

Okay, fine, waiting for some other girl. But if I knocked and went inside, it’d be me he took.

A thrill raced up my spine, and butterflies danced in my stomach.

I knocked
